ESRC Grant Awarded to Professor Ron Martin

Emeritus Fellow Professor Ron Martin has been awarded a major Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Grant for his project ‘Manufacturing Renaissance in Industrial Regions?’ This award is in addition to the ESRC Grant he already holds, ‘Structural Transformation, Adaptability and City Economic Evolutions.’

Professor Martin’s new project is being carried out in conjunction with his colleague, Professor Peter Sunley from the University of Southampton. Professor Sunley studied geography at St Catharine’s in the 1980s and was one of Professor Martin’s early students.

Professor Martin’s new edited volume, 'Handbook on the Geographies of Money and Finance' has just been published by Edward Elgar.
