St Catharine’s College, founded in 1473, runs a large and dynamic kitchen, catering for a wide variety of events ranging from fine dining dinners, student lunches along with a wide range of buffets and conference meals. The post holder’s main responsibilities will be to ensure the smooth operation of the Colleges catering functions and to assist our Catering Director in taking the lead in the provision of the highest standards of food innovation and cooking.

The successful applicant must have at least five years’ experience as a Senior Chef, working to a minimum of two rosette or five star Hotel operations. We are looking for a dynamic Chef with a passion for food with the ability to inspire, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
You must have a proven understanding of modern cooking techniques and be able to create original menus. You will be able to provide constantly changing menu options for both College and commercial catering needs following the latest food trends and styles as well following the College ethos of buying local sustainable products as and when possible.
