All Members are warmly invited to an event on Saturday 18 November, for which further details are below.
On Saturday 18 November, there will be an event for all College Alumni at the Hong Kong Club, hosted by Dr John Endicott (1964). Refreshments will be available at 10:30am; at 11am the Master will give a lecture entitled "The Economics of Science; the Dramatic Impact of Nanotechnology". This will be followed by a panel discussion on "How Asia has changed in the last 10 years; the perspective from Alumni and other leading Hong Kong residents", with a focus on how a Cambridge education prepares one to adapt to a rapidly changing global landscape.
The panel will be moderated by Kenneth Wong (1992), a partner of Primavara Capital Group; the panel will include the Master, Andrew Brandler (1974; Chairman of Chinese International School and of Sir Elly Kadoorie and Sons), David Chin (Managing Director, Head of Corporate Client Solutions for UBS in Asia Pacific ), and Wilfred Yiu (Head of China onshore securities for Goldman Sachs). We would welcome Alumni with family and friends to attend the lecture and panel discussion, which is sure to be interesting.
The discussion and lecture will be followed at 1pm by a buffet lunch at the Hong Kong Club for St Catharine’s Members, each of whom can bring a guest.
The dress code for the Hong Kong Club is smart casual (no jeans, t-shirts, tracksuits, shorts, sports shoes, flip-flops, or denim).
The Master hopes that many of you will be able to join him on this occasion. Please use the booking form below to register.
