Graduate History Bursaries
The Graduate History Bursaries are available to students undertaking an MPhil degree in History at St Catharine's College and will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence. The value of each bursary is up to £10,000.
Preference will be given to applicants who have named St Catharine’s as their 1st or 2nd choice of College. Where a successful applicant has been awarded membership at another College, they would be expected to transfer their membership to St Catharine’s.
Please note that a separate application to the University of Cambridge for admission to a graduate course in History must be made by the applicant before applying for the bursary. Candidates should thus submit their application to the Graduate Admissions Office at the earliest possible opportunity. To do so, please visit http://www.graduate.study.cam.ac.uk/
Once you have received an offer from the University of Cambridge, please complete the application form, and send it to email@example.com along with the following documents:
- your application to the University of Cambridge
- letter of offer of admission to the University of Cambridge
- undergraduate transcript
- transcript of any further degrees
- research proposal
In addition, please ask two referees to submit a letter of reccommendation (in PDF format) to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line "Reference for APPLICANT'S NAME - MPhil History Bursary"
Applications for the 2017/18 academic year will be accepted from 1 Ocotber 2016 until 5pm GMT on 31 March 2017. Please note that incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
The College expects to announce the Bursary in May for the forthcoming academic year. Where a candidate is currently engaged in a course of study, the Bursary will be conditional upon the successful completion of their course.
The application form can be downloaded from the right sidebar. All application documents for the bursary should be sent as a single PDF file to email@example.com
