Saturday 6th September
Choir Reunion

St Catharine's alumni who took part in the choir are warmly invited to attend a Reunion Dinner in College on Saturday 6 September. You are very welcome to bring a guest. There will be the opportunity for ex choristers to take part in a musical performance.

The event will begin with tea in the SCR at 4pm followed by a Choir rehearsal which you are invited to join. Evensong takes place at 6pm followed by a Drinks reception at 7pm and Dinner at 7.30pm. The dress code is black tie.

If you would like to attend the Dinner, which is priced at £45 per person, please proceed to the online registration form. We are able to provide overnight accommodation in College and breakfast at a cost of £32.25 per person. All rooms will be within the main College site and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis for those wishing to stay.

 We look forward to welcoming former Choir members and friends for a very special reunion.

Saturday 6th September
Society - South West Branch - Annual Garden Party

As usual this will be held at Armstor House in Lydford on the western edge of Dartmoor. It will start at 2:00pm with appropriate drinks and cream teas being served through the afternoon. Full details will be sent to all who wish to attend, particularly for the first time!

Society - Midlands Branch - Luncheon

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to a St Catharine's Midlands Branch Luncheon which will take place on Thursday 11 September from 12:30pm at Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co, Birmingham (full address TBC) , by kind permission of Mr Ian Metcalf (1977). We are delighted that Professor Peter Tyler, Professorial Fellow, Director of Studies in Land Economy will be giving a short talk at the upcoming Luncheon Club.

Saturday 20th September
Members' Reunion (1993-95)

The Master and Fellows have the pleasure of inviting you to a Reunion Dinner to be held in College on Saturday 20 September.

From 5:30pm a specially commissioned exhibition can be viewed in the SCR featuring memorabilia from the archives from the 1950s. Weather dependent, we will be having a group photograph on the main court at 6:30pm, followed by a drinks reception at 6:45pm in the new McGrath Centre. Dinner will take place at 7:30pm in Hall. The dress code for the dinner will be black tie.

Saturday 27th September
College Society Reunion

All who have been admitted to St Catharine's as a student or any in any other academic capacity are invited. The Society Reunion is the only occasion when all Members, from the oldest to the youngest, can return to St Catharine's and enjoy the best that a weekend in Cambridge has to offer. The welcome extends to partners and Associate Members (i.e. those who, as next-of-kin of deceased Members, wish to keep in touch with the College). The Reunion therefore is a gathering that spans generations and is a diverse mix of experience and memories, but all rooted in affection for a place and a community that has beena formative influence in our lives. The preferred dress code is black tie for men and the equivalent for women. I hope you will be there this September. Society - London Branch - Dinner at The Reform Club

We are delighted to be able to invite members and their guests to join us for a dinner in the recently restored library at The Reform Club. Our after dinner speaker will be Dr John Thompson, former President and history Fellow of the college who will be speaking on the theme 'Could America become isolationist again?'.

St Catharine's at the Royal Society

The Master and Fellows are pleased to welcome you to an evening at the Royal Society in London. The Royal Society is the Fellowship of the World's most eminent scientists and is the oldest scientific academy in continuous existence. 

The evening begins with a tour of the premises in Carlton House Terrace (only for Members who have booked) at 5.45pm followed by a drinks reception at 6.30pm. At 7pm there will be two lectures in the Kohn Centre given by Fellows of St Catharine's College: Dr Sriya Iyer (2000), College Lecturer and Isaac Newton Trust Affiliated Lecturer in the Faculty of Economics, and Professor William Sutherland (2008), Miriam Rothschild Chair in Conservation Biology. This will be followed by further refreshments in the Marble Hall.

The dress code for the evening is Lounge suit or equivalent. We look forward to seeing you for this very special event in the College events calendar.

Society - London Branch Seminar and Drinks - Devonshire House, 60 Goswell Road

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the Geography Dinner taking place in College on Saturday 8 November 2014. The evening will be an opportunity for all Members who studied Geography at St Catharine's to meet with one another in the company of students and Fellows.
The event will begin with tea and coffee served in the McGrath Centre at 4pm followed by a series of short lectures by Geography Fellows. The drinks reception will be held at 6.45pm and dinner will be held in Hall at 7:30pm.
The dress code for the evening is black tie or equivalent. The cost will be 50 pounds per person.

Law Dinner

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to a Law Dinner taking place in College on Saturday 22 November 2014. The evening will be an opportunity for all Members who studied Law at St Catharine's College meet with one another in the company of students and Fellows. The dinner has been organised in honour of Professor Sir John Baker who celebrates his 70th birthday during 2014.   

The event will begin with tea and coffee in the McGrath Centre at 5.45pm, followed at 6pm by a short lecture by Professor Sir John Baker, Honorary Fellow of St Catharine's College and Downing Professor of the Laws of England (Emeritus).

A drinks reception will take place in the McGrath Centre from 6:45pm. Dinner will be held at 7:30pm and the dress code for the evening is black tie. The cost will be £45 per person and you may bring a guest if you wish.
The ticket price ensures that all current students can attend at a subsidized cost.We very much hope that you will be able to join us for the occasion.

Society - St Catharine's Society at the House of Lords
Lord Horam (1957), who will be the next President of the St Catharine's College Society, would like to mark his Presidency by inviting Members to an evening reception in the House of Lords. The Master has it in her diary; we will have use of the terrace overlooking the Thames; and guided tours of the Palace will be available for those who are interested. Further details will be available shortly.
