Varsity Rugby Results

The College is proud of the four St Catharine’s students who represented Cambridge University in today’s Varsity rugby matches at Twickenham.

Captained by St Catharine’s Daniel Dass (2014, Economics) and also including Henry King (2015, Engineering) in the starting line-up, the men’s team defeated Oxford 23-18 in a hard fought contest that went down to the wire. The Light Blue victory ends a run of six consecutive defeats to Oxford in the Varsity Match.

The Cambridge women’s team, which included Emma Pierce (2016, Theology) and Catriona Brickel (2014, Philosophy), were also involved in a close contest, sadly losing out to the Dark Blues by a score of 3-0.
