Short film released to mark the anniversary of the ‘Our College, Our Future’ campaign

Monday 3 February 2020

St Catharine’s is proud to share a short film about the progress made in the first year of its ‘Our College, Our Future’ strategic plan. A number of key milestones have already been achieved by the College community, including initiating plans for the development of our buildings and spaces.

Professor Sir Mark Welland, Master of St Catharine’s, explains that the initial response to the strategic plan and accompanying campaign has been uplifting:

“When I accepted the Mastership of St Catharine’s, I did so with a commitment to enhance our environment so our students could realise their potential. Delivery of the strategic plan has got off to the most extraordinary start thanks to the generosity of our donors to date.

“But there is more to do. The vision espoused in ‘Our College, Our Future’ is not a list of ‘nice to haves’. Rather, this is what we must deliver in its entirety to honour my commitment to our students. But this can be done only with your help. If you have not yet supported our current campaign, please consider doing so.”

As part of the short film, the College’s Development Director Deborah Loveluck highlights the generosity of two Members, Peter and Christina Dawson:

“[They] have made a lead gift of £4 million. They have established a matching fund challenge to encourage other Members to support this vital project. All gifts received by the College up until December 2021 will be matched on a one-to-one basis, up to a maximum of £4 million.”

St Catharine’s looks forward to building on this strong start in the coming months. To stay up-to-date with ‘Our College, Our Future’ and how St Catharine’s is delivering its strategic priorities, visit the new campaign website.
