This workshop is being organised by Dr Liana Chua, director of the Tunku Fund, to provide guidance and tips for Malaysian candidates.

The Tunku Abdul Rahman Fund was established in 2003 to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, the first Prime Minister of Malaysia. It offers one scholarship each year to enable an academically outstanding Malaysian student to undertake research leading to a postgraduate degree in the arts, humanities and social sciences at St Catharine’s College, University of Cambridge.

This session is aimed at Malaysian students with excellent academic track records who are planning to apply for a Tunku scholarship (with a view to starting in October 2023). Led by Dr Liana Chua, it will introduce students to the Cambridge postgraduate application process and offer tips on what makes a strong application. Participants will also have the chance to ask questions and hear from a couple of recent and current Tunku scholars. Academics and mentors are also welcome to attend.
