Please do join us for a discussion on whether and how the financial system could contribute to the rapid decarbonisation of the real economy, using the UK as a case study. This discussion will be hosted by:

Dr Simon Taylor, Energy Policy Research Group; Fellow in Economics, Chair of the Investment Committee

Dr Ellen Quigley, Centre for the Study of Existential Risk; Advisor to Cambridge University Chief Investment Officer and Chief Financial Officer on responsible investing.
Dr Ellen Quigley is writing a report for the University advising on the merits of divesting fossil fuel investments and greater engagement with fossil fuel companies as ways to further the University's goal of achieving a net zero carbon emissions target.
