Master gives scientific keynote at CTBTO's conference

On Monday 24 June, Master of St Catharine’s, Professor Sir Mark Welland gave the scientific keynote “Science, policy and diplomacy” at the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization’s CTBT: Science and Technology Conference in Vienna. He followed the keynote address, given by Ban Ki-moon, the 8th Secretary General of the United Nations.

The event brought together around 1700 scientists, technologists, academics, students, CTBTO policy makers, members of the media and representatives of organisations involved in research and development that is relevant to all aspects of Treaty verification.
