Statement on May Ball refund arrangements

Helen Hayward, Operations Director and May Ball Fellow for St Catharine’s College, commented in response to the refund arrangements announced by the May Ball Committee:

“On behalf of St Catharine’s, I am pleased the May Ball Committee is now able to confirm the refund value and procedure for 2020 ticket holders. Everyone involved has been acutely aware of the financial pressures that ticket holders may have been facing this summer. Ultimately, it took time to agree and set-up robust refund arrangements, and this behind-the-scenes work would not have been possible without the patience and ongoing support of ticket holders.

I want to recognise the considerable effort and teamwork that it has taken to offer May Ball ticket holders a 100% refund. The May Ball Committee, the JCR, the MCR and the College’s Governing Body have all come together to put in place exceptional financial arrangements that address the difficult and unusual circumstance that led to the Ball’s cancellation.”
