Accommodation and Events Assistant

The Accommodation and Events Assistant will support the Accommodation & Events Coordinator in the administration and management of the College’s accommodation and conference service.

The post holder will deliver a professional, courteous and efficient reception and enquiries service and be the first point of contact for College accommodation, conference and events matters.

They will also be involved in co-coordinating and delivering conference activities to ensure that all clients’ requirements are successfully met.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Enthusiasm and experience of working in a conference, events and/or student accommodation field, coupled with excellent customer service and administrative skills.  
  • Knowledge, experience or the aptitude to use room booking systems (ideally Kinetic Solutions but training will be provided).
  • A high level of computer literacy and IT skills regarding common Microsoft platforms and applications.
  • Some experience of the collegiate environment/experience in a hotel or similar environment (desirable but not essential).

The expected start date for this position is January 2023 and this is a fixed term position for 12 months, to provide support during a period of maternity leave of another team member.
