Alumni Relations and Events Officer

The Alumni and Development Office (ADO) at St Catharine’s welcomes applications for the position of Alumni Relations and Events Officer to join the team. 

We are pleased to offer this post with a salary in the region of £28,000 FTE.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading College alumni and development office to work on the “Our College, Our Future” Campaign which aims to raise £65 million to fund student support, College life and a major programme of building and renovation. 

This position will appeal to someone who is confident, well-organised and flexible, ideally with some experience of events management and/or alumni development work.  Being part of small team, we are looking for someone who is able to work on their own initiative and who can demonstrate a positive approach to problem solving.

The Alumni Relations and Events Officer will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with the Development Manager to plan initiatives and events to support the ADO fundraising campaign and alumni relations programme.
  • Overseeing the day to day running of the Alumni and Development Office’s events programme, organising and overseeing the arrangements for a wide range of in person and digital events.
  • Assisting with the production of communications and responding to alumni relation enquiries. 
  • Providing a single point of contact to the Alumni Society for their events and calendar.
  • Responding to general queries from alumni and the wider College community.
  • Preparing materials and supplies for events e.g. table plans, name badges and place cards.
  • Attending fundraising, stewardship and other events as necessary.
