Tell us about your legacy gift

We recognise that your Will arrangements are a personal matter and you may wish them to remain confidential. However, if you were to let us know if the College is included in your Will, it would offer us an opportunity to thank you and invite you to join the Woodlark Society, should you wish to do so. Joining the Society is a matter of preference and some legators prefer to decline membership.

Testimonials

“My degree, because of the superb teaching I received, allowed me a first career as an academic, through which I also met my wife, Susan. Sadly, I cannot think of funding anything like the scholarship which supported me as an undergraduate. But, because I owe so much to the College, my wife and I want to give whatever we can manage.”

Peter Allan (1954, Law) and Susan Craig

“It was very easy for me to decide to leave a legacy to Catz when drawing up a will, for three reasons: to enable St Catharine’s to continue to provide the great educational and community experience that I enjoyed; to follow the example of my late father, Ansel, who also left a legacy to Catz; and because as a charity trustee I am well aware of the value of legacies as a vital source of funding.”

Katerina Gould (1983, Law)

“The wonderful community in Catz has given me great friends, constant intellectual stimulation and amazing support. Recognising what a huge benefit I have received from the College, I wanted to respond in a practical way by making a bequest in my will.”

The late Professor Sir Alan Battersby (1969, Honorary Fellow)

“My three years at St Catharine’s were a watershed in my life. It was the first time I had lived abroad. I was a shy and uncertain girl when I came to St Catharine’s, but I left as an independent and confident person. Leaving a bequest for St Catharine’s is my way of thanking the College for that personal transformation and a way to pass it on to future generations.”

Elaine Ng (1984, English)
