Dr Jenni Sidey Selected as Astronaut for Canadian Space Agency

20:15, Saturday 1 July 2017

We are absolutely thrilled and deeply proud to hear that Dr Jenni Sidey, a Fellow of St. Catharine's, has been selected to be one of two astronauts of the Canadian Space Agency. Dr Sidey, who alongside Joshua Kutryk was chosen from a pool of 3,772 applicants, is a brilliant engineer who has already inspired the students and Fellows of the College and the wider University community. This announcement simply underlines how truly extraordinary she is.

Starting in August 2017, Dr Sidey will embark on two years of intensive training at NASA's Johnson Space Center with the very best wishes of the Fellows, students and staff of St. Catharine's where she will always have a home. We look forward to following her journey.
