The post holder will work alongside two Managers to assist with the maintenance and upgrading of the College's IT Infrastructure. A large part of the work will involve supporting students, staff, fellows, and guests so strong IT skills and the ability to communicate well with users at all levels is essential.
The post holder will be the first line support contact for all general and technical IT enquirires which includes troubleshooting, installing hardware/software and configuring new computers. Setting up and supporting AV equipment for meetings and conferences and carrying out routine checks on the AV equipment and computer rooms will be an important part of the role.
The working hours are part time (to either follow a morning/afternoon pattern; 8.30am to 12.30pm or 2.30pm - 6.30 pm) and will require a degree of flexible working to cover occasional evening and weekend events. This will be shared with the rest of the IT team. Annual leave is 25 (FTE) days per annum, plus public holidays. Lunch is provided each day in Hall and there is a defined contribution pension scheme with other College benefits.
