St Catharine’s College is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Miranda Griffin as Senior Tutor, to succeed Dr Paul Hartle, who is retiring after 17 years in the role.

Miranda, who specialises in medieval French literature, joined St Catharine’s as a Fellow and Director of Studies in 2007 and became Admissions Tutor in 2015.

The Master Prof Sir Mark Welland said "The College is absolutely delighted with the appointment of Dr Miranda Griffin as Senior Tutor with effect from October 2018. She will succeed Dr Paul Hartle who has been outstanding in the role for 17 years. Miranda will bring professionalism, significant tutorial experience, a passion for student education and a deeply intellectual approach to teaching and research."

Speaking of her appointment Miranda said “I am delighted to be taking on this new role in St Catharine's, and look forward to following Dr Paul Hartle, who has set a high standard of leadership and collegiality in the post of Senior Tutor. St Catharine's is a very special place, which deserves its reputation as a friendly and successful college, and I'm excited at the prospect of working with Fellows, staff and students in the coming years.”
