Sat 30th Jan 2021, 11am-12pm
St Catharine's College is collaborating with Brasenose College (University of Oxford) to deliver a webinar for Year 12 (or equivalent) students at state schools in the UK.
Kathryn Singleton and Joe Organ (Schools Liaison Officers) be introducing Oxbridge and the College system; breaking down myths about Oxbridge; giving advice on the different stages of the application process; and talking about the kinds of things you can start to do in Year 12 to prepare for a strong Oxbridge application in Year 13.
The presentation will be followed by a live Q&A session with current students who will be sharing their experiences of Oxbridge and the application process.
Although teachers and advisers are welcome to join this webinar, our focus will be on the application process from a student perspective. Teachers can access a recording of our latest Teachers' and Advisers' Webinar here.
To join this webinar, simply fill in this short registration form.
How does a Zoom webinar work?
The session will take place using Zoom's webinar function and will, of course, be free of charge. After filling out the registration form, you will receive a confirmation email which will include the link for the session. Just before the session is due to take place, you will need to click the link in the email to join the webinar.
Your camera and audio will be disabled during the session but the Q&A feature will allow you to type any questions you have. These questions can be anonymous if you prefer. We will answer the majority of questions aloud but some answers will also be typed by the panel.
This event will not be live-captioned. However, if you need a BSL interpreter in order to take part in this event, please email Kathryn Singleton at firstname.lastname@example.org before Monday 25th January and we will organise this for you.
If you have any questions about this event, please email Kathryn Singleton at email@example.com.
