Engraved into the panelling on the north and south side of the sanctuary are the names of College members who gave their lives in the two great wars of the twentieth century.

These, together with those who died in subsequent conflicts, are remembered in an Act of Remembrance in Chapel on Remembrance Sunday each year. In this Act we pray also for those in military service in our own age and for the peace of the world.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old,
age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
we will remember them.

O Living Lord,
transform our lives by your forgiveness,
so that we may find a new way of living,
a new way of making peace,
a new way of removing the causes of war,
a new way of living together
     across the divisions and hurts of our anxious and dangerous world;
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the self-giving reconciler and redeemer,
     the Prince of Peace, who loves us all.
Amen.
