Chaplain

The Rev'd Ally Barrett

Room A4
Teams: amb66

I joined the College in Easter Term 2019, having previously taught in a theological college, worked as a vicar and as a children's minister, and on a research project on theology and the arts. I enjoy writing hymns, painting, experimental vegan cooking, walking, feeding the ducks, and spending time with my family. I want the Chapel to feel like a safe space for everyone - a place where you can come as you are, knowing that you are accepted.  I'd like it to feel safe enough for us to ask courageous questions together about what it means to live well in a complex world, and to nurture the kind of community that enables us to flourish as human beings.  As Chaplain, I am here for you, no matter what you believe (or don't believe) - as part of the welfare team I am here to listen, to support, and to encourage you, and to help you find the support you need, when you need it. I am also a tutor, and I'm involved with the College's work on sustainabiltiy and equality, diversity and inclusion.
