To encourage even more Members and friends to donate in support of Cambridge students, David (1979) and Claudia Harding have established a fund that could double the value of your gift.
The Harding Challenge is part of David and Claudia Harding’s £100 million gift to collegiate Cambridge’s student support initiative, announced in February 2019*. Their wish is to inspire new donors to collegiate Cambridge, resulting in greater support for students throughout the University.
If you are a first-time donor, your gift to a College student support initiative – such as bursaries, sport or music – will unlock an equal amount from the Harding Challenge fund. This matched sum will be directed to students in greatest need across Cambridge.
All donations of up to £100,000 from new donors are eligible. To make your donation and take advantage of the Harding Challenge for the benefit of students at St Catharine’s and across Cambridge, please go to www.caths.cam.ac.uk/donate.
* St Catharine’s received £25 million of David and Claudia Harding’s gift, establishing the Harding Distinguished Scholars Fund. The Fund enables the College to provide fully funded scholarships to outstanding students reading for doctoral degrees. It has also strengthened the College’s ability to support its undergraduate students.
