Former Master Appointed Chancellor of Swansea University

St Catharine’s College was delighted to hear the news that our former Master, Professor Dame Jean Thomas, has been appointed the Chancellor of Swansea University. An alumna of Swansea University (then known as University College Swansea, University of Wales), Professor Thomas was granted her PhD in Chemistry in 1967, and became the first female Master in the history of St Catharine’s in 2007, before being succeeded by Professor Sir Mark Welland in 2016.

We would like to congratulate Professor Thomas on her new role.
