Queen's Birthday Honour for Environment Fellow

A brief message from Professor Sir Mark Welland, Master of St Catharine's, in response to the Queen's Birthday Honours list:

“On behalf of the St Catharine’s community, I want to congratulate Professor Bill Sutherland, the College’s Environment Fellow and Miriam Rothschild Chair in Conservation Biology in the Department of Zoology, on his CBE for services to Evidence-based Conservation. I am delighted that the Queen’s Birthday Honours list recognises the public benefit of Bill’s world-class research, which he has harnessed to effect change in our scientific understanding, policy-making and wider society, as exemplified by his important work with the Biosecurity Research Initiative at St Catharine’s.”
